Taco Bowl

     This is a tasty dish that is super easy to make.  I like to make up a large batch of the meat mixture and freeze half of it for later when I need a quick dinner to make.  Just thaw, warm and serve with chips.

Taco Bowl:

1 lb ground beef
salt & pepper to taste
1 T minced garlic
1/2 t basil
1/2 t oregano
1 t parsley
1 T dry minced onion
1 small can of tomato sauce
1 1/2 c rice
2 c water
1/2 cabbage chopped finely
1 diced tomato

Brown the beef in a large pot.  Add salt, pepper, garlic, basil, oregano, parsley and onion.  Cook until no longer pink.  Add tomato sauce, rice and water.  Simmer covered for 25 minutes.  Serve in bowls with veggies and chips.
