Jam Muffins

     My daughter wanted to make breakfast this morning.  She got out her children's cookbook and decided to make jam muffins.  They turned out delicious and made our whole house smell good.

Jam Muffins:

2 c flour
1 T baking powder
3 T sugar
1/2 t salt
3/4 c butter
1 egg
1 c milk
your favorite jar of jam

In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar & salt together.  Add softened butter, egg & milk to the dry ingredients & mix well.  Grease muffin tins & fill 1/2 way with batter.  Top the batter with 1 tablespoon of jam.  Add more batter until tins are 2/3 full.  Bake at 425 degrees for 23 minutes.
