Here is a delicious dinner that will use up peas from your garden. I like to serve it with biscuits, cottage cheese and a salad.
Kielbasa Rice Dinner:
1 pkg kielbasa (sliced into rounds)
1 T butter
1 c rice
1 1/2 c water
1 can cream of celery soup (or 1 c homemade)
2 c peas
1 c diced mushrooms
1 c shredded cheese
In a large pot melt the butter. Add the cream soup and water. Bring to a boil. Add the rice & kielbasa and simmer for 18 minutes. Add the peas & mushrooms and cook another 15 minutes. Stir in the cheese right before serving.
